Hilary was a gymnast for 6 years and represented Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary School and St Nicholas Girls Secondary School in many national competitions. She took on the role as Captain in her graduating year at St Nicholas and led the B division team to the championship whilst earning herself the top place in the Level 5 clubs event. Prior to that, she clinched several medals in the National Championships , Singapore Open, and Interschool competitions- notably the Level 4 and 5 overall championship in 2016 and 2017 respectively.
Hilary joined the DGA family in October 2021 but her coaching journey began right after secondary school where she interned at Singapore Gymnastics. She assisted the National Team coaches in directing ambitious training sessions to boost gymnasts’ abilities and prepared the youth athletes for local competitions. Additionally, she also taught recreational classes at another Rhythmic Gymnastics academy, coaching young children under 12 years old.
Besides coaching, she has also attained the RG National Level 1 Judge accreditation in 2019 and has judged for National Championship and club competitions in 2019.
Hilary is excited to join the DGA family and hopes to nurture the passion and talents of young gymnasts, she believes that everyone’s gymnastics journey should be fuelled by love and passion for the sport, and that resilience and determination go a long way in making a successful gymnast.
